Fiji - Part 2

After returning from the Solomon Islands, we went straight back to Mama’s. The weather was horrible with a cyclone nearby and flooding around the country.
Luckily, we felt horrible as well, so we disinfected ourselves and our stuff and relaxed for a couple of days. After we started to feel a bit better, we changed some flights at the airline company and looked on the internet for some nice places to stay for the next week as we were not heading out of Fiji in another week time. Things were or to expensive or you had to go there on the Yasawa Flyer and that is not our favorite boat.
Still not knowing what to do, I woke up on Valentine’s day and looked once more on the internet. And there was something very interesting going on…SALE!!! So at 9.30AM I booked us a nice resort for the next 5 nights and called the Pacific Island air and booked ourselves an seaplane transfer to the Island. At 1 PM we arrived at the resort and the relaxing could begin!
The rooms were clean and the resort was clean too. A nice pool, white beach, blue ocean. Perfect!!...except for the meals and drinks…
We snorkeled a bit, hang in the pool a bit and just doing nothing. One day we felt energetic and we went diving. Seen some very nice soft coral, we had never seen before.
After five nights we took the boat back to the main island and we are ready to head out to Christmas Island. They say the people over there still live very basic and that their toilet is the beach and toilet paper is something that is not common…..I am so happy we had those 5 luxury days!!!
Tomorrow we fly to Christmas Island so I will be back online in two weeks!

Cheers Anna
